Canon is proud to present the highly anticipated EOS 5D Mark III. With supercharged EOS performance and stunning full frame, high-resolution image capture, the EOS 5D Mark III is designed to perform. Special optical technologies like the 61-Point High Density Reticular AF and an extended ISO range of 100-25600 (expandable to 50 (L), 51200 (H1) and 102400 (H2) make the EOS 5D Mark III ideal for shooting weddings in the studio or out in the field, and great for still photography. Advanced professional-level high definition video capabilities (that includes a host of industry-standard recording protocols and enhanced performance) make it possible to capture beautiful cinematic movies in EOS HD quality. A newly designed 22.3 Megapixel full-frame Canon CMOS sensor, Canon DIGIC 5+ Image Processor, and shooting performance up to 6.0 fps provide exceptional clarity and sharpness, even when capturing rapidly-unfolding scenes. Additional technological advancements include an Intelligent Viewfinder, Canon's advanced iFCL metering system, High Dynamic Range (HDR), and Multiple Exposure mode — all of which that help make the EOS 5D Mark III the perfect multimedia tool.
Its simple wow and awe some camera...
Excellent but pricey camera!8/1/2012
Great upgrade to the 5D Mark II but is almost double the price. You do get excellent performance but an enthusiast probably can no longer justify the price.
Received very quickly and items are as described!
upgrading from cropped DSLR7/24/2012
5d3 is a joy to use, exceeds every expectation and the full frame advantage is tremendous.
A very worthy upgrade from 5D Mark-II7/24/2012
The autofocus on this camera is fast and accurate. The 41 cross-type points make a huge difference for those upgrading from the single center cross type in the 5D Mark II. Many comparisons, including by Chuck Westfall from Canon, compare the 5D Mark III's autofocus to that of the 1D Mark IV. The screen on the rear is bright and has better color/contrast than many high end HDTVs. The new 3/2 screen ratio makes reviewing photos much more pleasant as they fill the screen. The ergonomics are improve
good combo, you can use it without any things else
Great camera but expensive7/9/2012
Camera was certainly tested this weekend at the Norwalk NHRA event where it was 102 degrees. Camera was very hot but still performed as it should. Mostly shot 1/800 - 1/1000 and all shots were in focus and exposed correctly. This is not a beginners camera but works well in automatic mode. Other modes work as you would expect. I shoot in RAW mode and you need a large storage card as each photo is 26mb.
