Pros: Excellent set of features; adjustable screen (no need to crawl in the mud or contort your body to get to the viewfinder when shooting from close to the ground); live view; very fast autofocus (slower in live view but still usable); large resolution. Cons: Strong lens vignetting; jpeg picture quality not as good as expected; visible noise starting at ISO 400; heavy and bulky compared to the Rebel; some controls are less than intuitive (e.g., I had to read the manual to find out how to turn off slow synchro flash in Av mode); the DOF preview button is in such an awkward place that it is almost useless; remote control sold separately. Bottom line: For my needs, what puts this camera ahead of the competition is the adjustable screen with live view. If you want the best possible picture quality I doubt that this is the best camera in this price range. The vignetting with the 18-135 mm kit lens means some extra work in Photoshop.

Very excited to use my camera more. The photos are beautiful. My only concern is that the camera shutter is louder than I expected (could make photography in a quiet setting awkward). I was also pleased that they added a small memory card with my package so that i could use it right away.

Great deal I would buy other products

by Cameta Camera customer on 8/30/2011

I use my new Canon 60D DSLR with the original lenses it was packaged with and it's more than enough for me. This is my first purchase for a DSLR and I'm very pleased with it's functions and ease of use. I mainly use the camera for leisure purposes like travel family photos and visits to the zoo and other wildlife parks. Very happy with my purchase. Read More
