Every troop has their sergeant and every platoon their general. Drama, Atlanta's newest & hottest rap sensation, is here to lead the hip hop nation to war, enlisting each and every ghetto survivor into his brigade. Independent Tight 2 Def Records recently released the eighteen year-old, Georgia bred artist's debut single, "Left, Right, Left" only to find it burn up radio & retail like an out of control forest fire. In five short weeks, exclusively through mom & pop distribution, "Left, Right, Left" went to the top of the Soundscan single sales charts and urban radio requests in Atlanta and ranks in the top ten sales and airplay in five other markets. Poised to put Atlanta on the hip hop map like Master P and Juvenile did for New Orleans, and Trick Daddy did for Miami, Drama...with his unique thugged out sound, will deliver "Causin' Drama," to the marketplace with high heat, explosive energy, and infectious beats. Highlights include the first single, "Left, Right, Left" and the soon-to-be follow up smash, "Double Time."

Notes & Personnel Info
Muze PNote Recorded at Bullfrog Studios, Atlanta, Georgia.
Muze PNote Georgia has become a hotbed for hip-hop originality, and now the state that has spawned slick crews such as Outkast and Goodie Mob generates Drama, a talented teenage rhyme-sayer. Though the cover of CAUSIN' DRAMA makes it seem like the rapper has come from some 2Pac movie casting call, that image belies a purely Southern-fried sound, with hyperkinetic beats, operatic electronica backing, and lyrical flows in which every breath seems destined to be Drama's last.
Muze PNote Drama's impassioned, gruff growl lies somewhere between Ja Rule's and that of most of the No Limits posse. It commands your attention from the first track, the infectious military-stylin' "Left, Right, Left." An armed-forces theme runs through much of CAUSIN' DRAMA, but like the aforementioned Oaklander Drama apes on the cover, the rapper is rife with apparent contradictions; like 2Pac he writes an ode to his mama. But unlike 2Pac's sweet, if somewhat treacly ode, Drama's "Mama Mama" is a wild, multi-styled ride that somehow remains sweet and effective. Drama's original style comes on with the force of the grenade he bites on the inside flap, and the opposing forces within him should make him an artist to watch in the upcoming years.
