Has some issues w/Vista3/12/2008
Well, the speed of transfer between my desktop and the Cavalry was fantastic. All the files were there and looked good. I even use it for video editing. Good stuff. My issue came when I attempted to make use of the portably of the external harddrive. I was in the field and hooked it up to my laptop and my laptop, with the same Adobe CS3 software, said my files weren't there. My desktop could see them and access them when I got home but not my laptop. Difference? My desktop has Windows XP Pro and my laptop has Vista. Both have the capabilities of running the software, I edit on the laptop already, but Vista can't even see photos from my camera that I've stored from my desktop onto the Cavalry. However, when done in reverse, if stored from Vista and then read on XP, it worked fine. Go figure.
