Editors Note
Note The BBC has a well-deserved reputation for producing timeless comedy classics, and they've done it again with CHEF! Starring Lenny Henry, who has appeared in many groundbreaking British comedy productions since the 1980s, CHEF! sees him playing an overbearing head chef, Gareth Blackstock, who works in the kitchen of a posh restaurant called Le Chateau Anglais. Grappling with his staff whose collective enthusiasm for the job wanes with every passing second, Gareth's attempts to motivate his workers and keep the restaurant's reputation afloat result in some hilarious scenes. The entire third season is collected here.

ReviewSource The Onion AV Club
Review Given the genial, enjoyable nature of the show, it's likely that anyone giving Henry a second chance will warm to his talents. It should also be clear that it's HenryÑin the role of a harried master chef nearly as uncompromising in his pomposity as he is in his artistic integrity--and his talented supporting cast who make the show interesting, rather than the material itself. With its telegraphed jokes and stock situations, Chef! hardly breaks new ground...
