| Randy quaid again plays crude but lovable eddie in another comic skid on the vacation banana peel. In a way, christmas has always been a test of survival for eddie and family and that's truer than ever when they receive an all-expense paid holiday tour of the south pacific and end up shipwrecked on a remote island. |

Editor's Note
After scene-stealing supporting turns in National Lampoon's VACATION (1983), CHRISTMAS VACATION (1989), and VEGAS VACATION (1997), the Griswolds' redneck Cousin Eddie (Randy Quaid) gets the spotlight treatment in the made-for-television sequel CHRISTMAS VACATION 2: COUSIN EDDIE'S BIG ISLAND ADVENTURE. This time around, the rude and crude Eddie, his long-suffering wife Catherine (Miriam Flynn), and their remaining child Third (Jake Thomas) are once again in dire financial straits and forced to shack up with the now grownup Audrey Griswold (Dana Barron, reprising her role from the original VACATION film). To make matters worse, Eddie has just lost his job at a nuclear testing facility--but not before he's bitten by a lab monkey and awarded an all-expenses-paid family vacation to the South Pacific by his lawsuit-fearing boss (Fred Willard). And in true National Lampoon fashion, the hapless clan--joined by cousin Audrey, Uncle Nick (Ed Asner), and beautiful tourist guide Mukalakamiki (Sung Hi Lee)--end up getting stranded GILLIGAN'S ISLAND-style with trademark slapstick hilarity and an unexpected lesson in family unity.
