Customer Reviews of Cisco Aironet 1100 Access Point - 54Mbps - 1 x 10/100Base-TX
Expensive, not easy to setup, but great performance4/10/2007
This access point is very strong. However, the instructions for setting it up are not intended for DHCP users and I doubt they are accurate even if you aren't using DHCP. The instructions are simple, access this IP address and configure. But the truth is, it's much more complex than that. I had to change the subnet that my computer was on to even access the hardware. It's a good thing my computer has 2 network cards... Then, once it was half-way configured, I lost access to it and had to change my computer's subnet again just to continue with the configuration. But, now that I have it working, I'm very glad I bought it. Also, it's worth mentioning that their tech support staff are excellent to work with. But I created a setup document anyway so that I don't forget how to do this. If you need instructions, email me.
