"Featuring: Stedman, Robert Goulet Marrying a Chimp, Wonderman, an Exploding Panda, Uncut Lobster Sex, Plus Special Guests!"
| When you were a kid, cartoons were on Saturday mornings, TV show hosts were beloved, and puppets were friendly, caring and kind. Well, you're not a kid anymore. That's why Comedy Central's TV Funhouse, featuring host Doug and his Anipals, is packed with enough twisted cartoons, crass puppets, live animals and guest stars to send you to bed weeping over your lost youth. |

Editor's Note
Robert Smigel's TV Funhouse cartoons on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE were always something to look forward to--and always too short. With this short-lived Comedy Central series, Smigel let loose his wild imagination for a half hour of inspired madness. TV FUNHOUSE is a children's show from another dimension, hosted by Doug and his Anipals (a mix of trash-talking puppets and confused live animals), with each themed episode lodging an irreverent mix of live-action and animated segments. The cast of characters includes Mischievous Mitchell, a Dennis the Menace lookalike who gets in all sorts of racist hijinks, and Wonderman, a superhero whose true mission is to get his alter-ego laid. Appearances by Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, Hootie and the Blowfish, and Robert Goulet add plenty of weird moments to this truly twisted variety show.
