Internationally bestselling author Patterson returns to the genre that made him famous with a thrilling teen detective series about the mysterious and magnificently wealthy Angel family . . . and the dark secrets they''re keeping from one another.
From the Publisher:
Tandy Angel is, along with her brothers, a suspect in their parents' murder but having grown up under Malcolm and Maud Angel's perfectionist demands, Tandy decides she must clear the family name no matter what.
Annotation:
When Tandy Angel finds out that her parents, Malcolm and Maud, were murdered in their home, she knows that the killer must be among her siblings. Raised in a harsh and unforgiving environment that demanded excellence and punished misbehavior, the Angel children each have impressive skills. But were they mistreated enough to turn on their parents in such a vicious fashion? The police are no help, so 16-year-old Tandy begins to untangle the possibilities, determined to discover the truth. Could it be her rage-filled little brother, her musically gifted twin, or Matthew, eldest brother and star athlete? Could it even be Tandy herself?
Author Bio
James Patterson
James Patterson grew up in Newburgh, New York, 50 miles north of New York City. Valedictorian of his class at the Christian Brothers school, St. Patrick's, in 1965, Patterson graduated from Manhattan College with a degree in English. He first entertained the idea of becoming a writer in 1971 when he worked as a college student in a mental institution, a job that afforded him abundant time to read. He came up with the idea for his first novel during that time, and five years later, after 26 rejection slips, his first effort, "The Thomas Berryman Number", appeared in bookstores. Since that time, Patterson has written numerous best-selling thrillers featuring the sensitive, modern-day hero Alex Cross, including "Kiss the Girls", which was made into a major motion picture starring Morgan Freeman.
