Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus CPU Cooler - 2000rpm 1 x Sleeve Bearing - RR-B10-212P-G1
Succeeding the popular Hyper 212, the Hyper 212 Plus carries on the legacy of providing a great balance of performance and noise level during high and low speed operations. Hyper 212 Plus is Cooler Master's first cooler to be equipped with an all-in-one mounting solution that includes LGA 1156 and 1366. Direct Contact heat-pipe is now also utilized in this latest update.

It easy to install and mount for intel and amd. I mounted to amd 715 . And overclocked has nice idle temps. Noise is about what expect

Quiet and effective6/1/2012
This is a great CPU cooler for the price. I can push my i5-750 to 4 GHz while keeping temperatures around 60C. I've chosen to throttle it back to 3.6 GHz for 24/7 usage so I can run at a more modest 1.3V and keep the fan at 80% where it's nearly inaudible. The sites that test lots of CPU coolers have shown this to have good cooling and noise performance.
Nice cooler for budget build5/21/2012
It keeps my i5 2500k running nice and cool at 4.5 Ghz. You do have to remove the mobo from the case in order to acess the back of the mobo to install the back plate for the cooler.
High performance air cooling for a steal9/27/2011
This is a standard in air cooling for a reason. It performs exceptionally, it is incredibly inexpensive, and it is well-built. For most purposes, including mild overclocks, using this cooler stock is perfectly fine. However, if you need silent operation, or high performance, or both, you will need to make some upgrades, which is why I did not rate this a perfect 5 for performance or for value. You will need to spend extra money on some better, quieter fans for silent operation or for push-pull configuration. I would recommend Yate Loon Low speed 120mm fans, since they are high pressure, high flow fans purpose built for heatsink operation. They are also extremely quiet, and are second in quality only to Noctua 120s. However, they cost a fraction of the price. Adding in the cost of extra fans makes this a good value, but not as great as it may seem on the surface. The stock fan is too loud and too weak for silent, high performance operation. Weigh your costs and needs, then decide what is best for you.
One of the best if not the best!!!7/29/2011
I got this yesterday and installed it in less that 30 mins. Luckily my case has the option to take off the side cover doors from both side giving you access to the back of the motherboard.. Without having to take the motherboard out of the case saved me half hour or so. Installation was easy once you get the mounting screws and the back plate on. Supplied thermal compound was good too. My Specs: Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition Six Core 8GB (2x4GB) G.Skill Ripjaws Series DDR3 1333 Hitachi Deskstar 5K3000 1.5TB SATA 6Gb/s LG BH10LS30K 10X Blu-ray Burner SATA Temps before installing Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus: Idle: 38-43 C Load: 55 C Full Load: 60 C Temps after installing Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus Idle: 28 C Load: 32-38 C Full Load: 45 C The 120 mm fan plugged in to the motherboard CPU fan socket barely goes over 900 RPM which is why it stays so quiet. The cooler that came with the boxed AMD processor was running at over 3000 RPM making it extremely noisy and was virtually useless when the temperatures were on the higher side. Easy installation, excellent cooling and universal mount makes this the best CPU cooler you can get for 30 bucks!! I compared this to the other pricey ones here at buy.com or other sites and this one scores better on every kind of research I have done on CPU coolers.. Make sure to measure your cabinet as this one is a tall CPU cooler!!
Great performance, substandard installation.11/1/2010
Installed on an Intel i5-650, with a Gigabyte GA-H55M-USB3 LGA 1156 motherboard. I followed the installation instructions EXACTLY (although somewhat confusing). The holes for the mounting bracket just DID NOT line up. I was able to get all four screws installed, but two of them are cocked sideways at almost a 45 degree angle. I've been installing aftermarket coolers for 15+ years and have never had such a problem install. Otherwise, the cooler is amazing; 9c idle, and VERY quiet. Had to modify my case to accommodate it's MASSIVE size (height). I should have measured first.... Shame on me.
