Product just doesn't work well - hangs
Unfortunately, I've had a very poor experience with this product. I'm fairly technical and have installed/configured my fair share of software. The problem with this product is that it continuously "hangs" in the middle of a video import. I have a fairly decent PC, so it's not likely a resource issue (my PC meets or exceeds all minimum requirements). I went to the Corel website and found that there were a couple of service packs. I installed Service Pack 2, which says it addresses issuing with hanging. Problem Fixed??...No. Now I still have that original problem along with the added bonus that the import process is now not indexing correctly (i.e., is it not recording the correct portion of the tape that it just finished indexing and that I selected -- it recorded a completely different portion of the tape than the indexed thumbnail is displaying). And then it hangs! Nice. I've spent too much time trying to get this product to work, and will probably look for something else. Too bad, I thought Corel was supposed to have good stuff. Looks like the product has potential, if it would just stop hanging. By the way, I'm using with a Dell Dimension running Windows 7.
