Editor's Note A syndicated television program that aired briefly in 1952, COWBOY G-MEN attempted to criss-cross two very different strands of American iconography: the 'G-Man' (or government worker), and the law-enforcement officer of the old west. Russell Hayden and Jackie Coogan starred, respectively, as Pat Gallagher and Stoney Crockett, two government agents on horseback, devoted to taming the American West of the late 19th Century. This box set contains four full episodes of COWBOY G-MEN as they originally aired in the early '50s: CENTER FIRE, where Gallagher ventures out to California to investigate an Anthrax scare; CHIPPEWA INDIANS, where Crockett and Gallagher thwart an Indian uprising in the face of crooked land speculators; GHOST BUSHWHACKERS, where the U.S. Army assignes Pat to tame the Arizona Territory; and SAFE CRACKER, about a sexy woman masterminding a bank robbing gang.
