The "New York Times" bestselling author delivers an emotionally charged and surprising tale of two very different brothers and the one woman who loves them both and holds the key to a family secret.
From the Publisher:
When he inherits the estate of his estranged older brother, movie star Ricky Lam decides to give up his film career to develop the Crown Jewel resort his brother had planned to build on an island off the coast of South Carolina, where Ricky finds new love with his former sister-in-law and uncovers a dangerous conspiracy linked to the highest levels of government. Reprint.
Annotation:
Ricky Lam is a Hollywood star who has overcome his addictions to alcohol and drugs, thanks in no small part to his brother/business manager, Philip. However, when Philip suddenly dies, Ricky learns that his brother had been living a very dark life, a life full of secrets and danger. Brokenhearted, Ricky ends his Hollywood career and relocates to Antigua where his family owns and operates a luxury resort named the Crown Jewel. While there, he reconnects with his family (including the three sons he sired but had never before met) and begins to fall in love with Philip's widow, Roxy.
Author Bio
Fern Michaels
Fern Michaels grew up in Hastings, Pennsylvania, got married, and had five children before she picked up a pen to begin writing what would turn out be one best-selling romance after another. One of the most consistent bestselling romance writers of the '80s and '90s, Michaels writes mostly steamy historical romances with heavy doses of passion, seduction, and torrid adultery. Divorced from her first husband, she dedicates much of her time to philanthropic concerns, having set up the Fern Michaels Foundation, which grants scholarships to students in need. She also set up affordable pre-school and day-care centers for struggling single mothers.
