Wonderful MacBook upgrade1/16/2013
Even though Apple does not support more than 4 GB of RAM in this particular MacBook model (13-INCH MID 2010, 2.4GHz), this 8 GB set works perfectly! Things are much faster than before (it had only the 2 GB RAM that the unit originally shipped with). Life is good!
I had bought higher end memory for a home server that was having trouble. The machine would not recognize the full amount of memory that was installed for some reason. I swapped it with these, and it just worked. The only issue was that initially I only received one stick in the kit instead of two, hence the 4 stars.
Product was as described and a great value.
I have a Dell Latitude and this memory worked great. Pull the old sticks out, put the new ones in. If your 32-bit system can't read the entire 4 gigs, that's the fault of the OS, not the memory. But they did speed my 32-bit system up.
replaced the 2-1gb Hynix sticks in my Toshiba L305-S5891 with this kit, even through I'm only running 32-bit Vista Home Premium. Installation took all of like three minutes. Apps do seem to load quicker, even though I haven't loaded my screen up to really test it. I mainly wanted the extra memory for image editing large files faster. Working with three to six images at a time can bog a machine down. And the price was the best I'd found anywhere.
It was quick and easy to install, so far I have a positive experience with the product.
Another Good Experience10/19/2011
I have used this brand of memory in the past with great results and must say all is very good and performance is as expected in my Sony Laptop in this case. Ease of installation and instantly recognized by my laptop. In some reviews some had issues with reading the new memory. Which is most likely they chose the incorrect part number/product. I recommend this memory and please make sure you get the correct memory for your specific machine.
One of the BEST for Macbooks2/15/2011
Crucial one of the best memory modules out in the market and it uses Micron chips which is also one of the best. I used few of these to upgrade the 13" Macbook pro (2010 model) and it works flawlessly with high performance
