From the Publisher:
Author Bio
Harold S. Kushner
Rabbi Harold S. Kushner grew up in Brooklyn, New York, attended Columbia University, and was ordained by the Jewish Theological Seminary of America in 1966. He has long served as a congregational rabbi of Temple Israel in Natick, Massachusetts, finally being named its rabbi laureate. Rabbi Kushner lost a teenage son to progeria, and out of that experience he wrote WHEN BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE (1981), which stayed on the New York Times Best Seller list for over a year. More importantly, it affected people's lives, bringing consolation to those who had lost loved ones. Rabbi Kushner has worked as a grief counselor, and his book LIVING A LIFE THAT MATTERS, published the week of the 9/11 attacks, was cited as a timely, consoling work.
