Great So Far4/5/2009
Purchased this to link to my DLink DIR-655 router. Wanted access to BD Live on my Sony Blu Ray BDP-S35O in my living room and use as a print server. First installed the router than added the DAP as a bridge from the software. Linked in about 10 minutes. Still working on the print server part.Router attached to windows XP desktop and want to use via the network on laptop running Vista. Have to do more research on that one. Blu Ray speed shows 100-103 mps. Not too bad
So far it does what is says...4/1/2009
So far this product performs as advertised, however getting it up and going was somewhat of a chore. The instructions were not as clear and concise as I'd liked (There were too many options instead of having baseline install laid out for the various connection types.) Other than that, I'm using it to stream Netflix from my office DSL connection 2wire/Dir-625 to my family where the DAP-1522 is connected to my Samsung BD-P 2550 Blu-Ray player.
I purchased the DAP-1522 to work as a bridge with the DIR-825. I needed the bridge to connect my Samsung 2550 Blue Ray player to my wireless network. I was up and running in a few minutes and downloading movies from Netflix. The performance and quality has been impressive thus far.

Purchased the DAP-1522 to connect my Sony HDTV and Blue Ray DVD to the network using the bridge function on the DAP-1522. I have a D-link DIR-655 router, the wireless connection from the router involved selecting Bridge with a switch, pushing one button on the router and one button on the DAP-1552. Thats it up and running in minutes. Two weeks of service no problems.

Performs as advertised. Great product. If your looking for a bridge to your router to connect as an access point for other devices or to add wireless to exisiting non-wireless router, or add wireless N to exisiting B or G routers, then this is the product for you. Setup is a snap with routers with most newer routers that have the Wi-Fi Protected Setup feature. Otherwise, you may need a geek to help you out. Tried bridging products in the past. However, most home routers and bridge/APs could not function in WPA or WPA2 mode even with WDS. DLink somehow figured this out without having to use WDS and works great. Works well in both 2.4 and 5 ghz modes. I prefer the 5 ghz mode due to interference of surrounding 2.4 ghz networks, phones, and microwaves. Mine is bridged to a Dlink DGL-4500 router and providing network and/or internet access to the following devices: Simpleshare Network Attached Storage device, SMC 2870W Access Point, and XBOX 360. I also have it hard wired to an HP MediaSmart TV. However, the TV's built in wireless antenna provide better connection signal strength even with the DAP-1522 sitting next to it. Minor drawbacks: 1. No external antenna. It has a built-in antenna so be sure to limit walls in between the device and your router. Better signal equals better connection and speed. 2. No configuration options for the lights on the front (i.e. turn on/off or stop from blinking, etc). If you don't like lights, you may want to put some black electrical tape over them. This product comes highly recommended all over the net and I recommend it as well. You can't go wrong with any of DLink's Xtreme N product line. Don't forget to download and install the latest Firmware Update.

No problems nor issues connecting it with a N router. Works like a charm. Easy to configure and runs out of the box. Very easy to customize for your local settings. Highly recommended!
