Awesome product - awesome signal
I recently replaced a D-link G band router with a Netgear N Dual Band at my home. I have a large 4,500 home and had an old D-link access point in my attic. After researching every Netgear & D-link product I settled on this D-link primairily because it has 3 external antennas instead of internal (as in Netgear) and I have a 3 foot antenna in my attic that the cable for it screwed right in place of one of the antennas provided. Also note that this works with N, G, & A type wireless cards and all my G cards seem to be working even faster. The description here on Buy.com does not tell you that but I went to D-links site and read all the specs. Anyway, this whole thing works way better than expected. I'm getting top bar signals all over my home and can even pick up the signal at my shop about 100 yards from my home. I am no expert and had just barely fooled around with my wireless network stuff as I had it originally installed by a local computer outfit. But I pretty easily figured out how to hook my two units together and make my network secure. I drove my laptop down the street to see how far my signal went and it was a couple of hundred yards on the D-link access point from my attic. I also picked up 2 neighbors networks down the street that were not secured and could have easily logged into the internet on their service if I had wanted to, so be sure to make your wireless home network secure. I would highly recommend this product for any large homeor business network environment.
