Annotation:
Syd Hoff's classic I Can Read book is still tremendously popular decades after it was first published in 1958. Flaxen-haired Danny's trip to a museum finds him befriending an enormous dinosaur who comes to life and spends all day playing with him. Eating ice cream, watching baseball, and playing hide-and-seek, turn out to be the best dinosaur-related activities. With full-color illustrations.

Author Bio
Syd Hoff
Syd Hoff attended the National Academy of Design in New York City as a fine arts student, but was not encouraged by his instructors due to the humorous quality of his work. Later, as a cartoonist, he was a regular contributor to "The New Yorker" and other magazines. As an author, Hoff is known for his books for beginning readers. His first work, DANNY AND THE DINOSAUR, evolved from a series of drawings he created for his daughter when she was ill.
