Synopsis

In 1897, Quentin Collins and Magda the gypsy, discover the mysterious urn which contains the flames of life for Laura Collins, an immortal Phoenix. Jenny Collins, Quentin‘s insane wife, escapes from her basement cell at Collinwood and attempts to kill Quentin. Magda, Jenny‘s sister, places a curse on Quentin, which causes him to turn into a werewolf during a full moon. Jamison Collins finds Barnabas‘ coffin in the Old House basement and reveals the discovery to his father Edward. Carl Collins returns from Atlantic City with a showgirl and mentalist named Pansy Faye. She uses her psychic abilities during a séance to help determine the fate of servant Dirk Wilkins, who rises as a vampire after being attacked by Barnabas.

Bonus Features

Includes exclusive interviews with actors David Selby, ABC-TV Publicist James Butler, Kathryn Leigh Scott and ABC-TV Executive Leonard Goldberg.
Editor's Note
Originally a daytime soap opera, DARK SHADOWS garnered a huge cult following during its original 1966-1971 run and separated itself from its peers by dealing with increasingly bizarre and daring story lines. Covering episodes 736-775 in the series, this 4-volume set continues the saga of Barnabas Collins (Jonathan Frid), a 200-year-old vampire living on his family's manor estate in Collinsport, Maine.
