In the third and final installment in Dean Koontz's modern retelling of Mary Shelley's classic novel, Helios (aka Victor Frankenstein) is still up to his monster-making tricks in New Orleans--still constructing bio-engineered creatures of his own hideous design. With the Big Easy in grave danger, the only one who might be able to stop the evil Doctor is Frankenstein, Helios's original mangled monster.

Author Bio
Dean Koontz
Along with Stephen King, Koontz is the preeminent horror writer of his age, selling millions and millions of books worldwide. Koontz had a horrific childhood; his father was an abusive alcoholic and his mother was mentally unstable, and they both actively discouraged him from pursuing a writing career. However, when the 12-year-old Koontz won an essay contest, the seed was planted. He studied education and was a high school English teacher from 1967 to 1969, at which point he began writing full time. At the end of the '90s, Dean Koontz has written nearly 80 books of suspense or horror.
Praise
"What began as a noirish nail-biter becomes an openly allegorical polemic against the lust for power and the arrogance of scientism as it hurtles toward a highly theatrical end that is outlandish but true to the morally divided human spirit." (starred review)
