Ryo Utsugi has been disturbed by nightmares of being attacked by a gigantic, demonic creature with blood dribbling from its teeth. One day, he develops a mysterious power to hear voices and foresees horrifying images of women being killed. Then, at a cottage in the mountains, he hears the same voice. "Who is this?! Who is talking to me?!"-- Ryo runs out of the cottage, jumps off a cliff following the voice, and gets transported to the Himalayas in a blink. There, he encounters the monster from his nightmare: Demon Lord Dante, who had been sealed in ice for 2000 years! Hideous murders, Satanists' black mass, the secrets of the Utsugi family... mysterious things await Ryo, who is transfigured into Dante.

Based on a popular Japanese comic created by veteran creator Go Nagai (Devil Man, Cutey Honey, Mazinger Z/Tranzor Z) in 1971, The Demon Lord Dante is now reborn as an animated series! Demon Lord Dante features bilingual audio, English subtitles and character designs by Toshimitu Kobayashi (El Hazard: Alternative World, "Weiss Kruz").

Editor's Note

For thousands of years, the Demon Lord Dante has sat frozen in the Himalayan Mountains. Now, in young Ryo Utsugi, Dante has a chance to resurrect himself. Ryo has nightmares of a terrifying creature attacking him, and then suddenly he develops psychic powers. Those power allow him to hear voices and see visions of women being murdered. When the torment of the voices becomes too much to bear, Ryo follows a voice off the edge of cliff, where he immediately transports to Dante's frozen grave. Once possessed, Ryo must unravel his family mystery, and along the way, deal with Satanic rituals and murders.
