The set-through maple/mahogany neck boasts a scalloped heel for easier access to the upper register and has been shaped in to an extra thin profile for high velocity soloing. An abalone bound rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and abalone Shark Tooth inlays will facilitate effortless string bending. The Charvel DX-1ST is equipped with dual EMG active humbucking pickups with three-way toggle switching. The control panel is stripped down to the absolute bare essentials with a single master volume and a 3-way pickup selector switch. Rounding out the hardware is a string-thru-body Charvel bridge specially designed for compound-radius fingerboards, black nickel hardware, and locking Charvel tuners. The DX-1ST comes in solid and trans finishes (flame maple veneer on trans finishes) with matching headstocks.
