Annotation:
Detroit's Destroy All Monsters were way ahead of their time, playing trashy, rebellious, and brilliant punk rock before the genre even had a name. During the band's run from 1973 to '85, they played many a legendary gig, but left behind very few recordings. What they did release, though, between '76 and '79, were several fanzines, compiled here by Donna Wingate. Typical of ?zines of the era, they feature Xeroxed art, photos, and screeds, encapsulating the heady, do-it-yourself creative spirit of the late ?70s. It goes without saying that fans of the band will enjoy this, but music historians of all stripes will find value here.
