Griptonite and Disney are hoping you've got a little girl that loves the new The Princess and the Frog film, and that she has three equally enamored friends. If so, this may be a fun, though short lived and not amazing, treat for them...First off it needs to be said that anyone playing this game is going to want to see the movie first. The entire game takes place after the film, with Tiana reminiscing about the events that transpired, so there are some major spoilers right from the get go. By this point most people buying this would probably already have seen the film, but the game was released two weeks prior to the film's release...The Princess and the Frog is a multiplayer mini-game collection. Every mini-game in here, save for the cooking games, are designed to be played with four people. They can be played solo, but it's really just nowhere near as fun, and the computer players seem to have an advantage by not being limited by the sometimes wonky waggle controls...What makes this mini-game collection feel like a legitimate game is the story mode. Between every game is a cutscene, with characters from the film acting out slightly modified parts of the films. Granted the cutscenes are basic, and some of the voice acting is not great (Dr. Facilier is pronounced as "fuh-cy-ler" by the Tiana soundalike). Still it's nice that the game actually has a level of production that party games rarely get...Disney has promoted this game as a slumber party activity, and really that is what it's good for. When I saw the movie there were four little girls wearing tiaras that were super excited. This game would probably be fun for them as an after movie sleepover activity. That said, you should probably just rent it, because the 20-something minigames only last a couple hours. - Jack DeVries
