| Dolphin Tale presents a staggering compilation of various cinematic cliches so transparent a kid could see through them. I would know; mine did. For a while, the film is so blandly average in its peddling of said cliches that it nearly passes by as a simple bore. Then the third act kicks in and the onslaught becomes so incessant that by the end, I was convinced I had just witnessed a movie that could be used for years to come in film school classes -- as an exercise to break down just how many tired formulas a good film should try to avoid....read the full review | |
