From the Publisher:
After he witnesses a hit on a mob lawyer that sparks an all-out mafia war, reporter Nick Daniels captures a key piece of evidence and launches an relentless investigation, during which he endures humiliation, threats, violence--and worse. Reprint. A best-selling novel.
Annotation:
Was reporter Nick Daniels at the wrong place--or exactly right place--at the wrong time? Nick is in the middle of interviewing a sports hero for a story at Lombardo's Steak House when a shooting kills a deeply connected mob lawyer. Nick sees a big story--and so does his editor, who Nick has a huge crush on--but many, from cops to mafiosos (of the Italian and Russian varieties), will do whatever it takes to protect themselves and their own. DON'T BLINK is a thrill-ride from James Patterson and Howard Roughan.
Author Bio
James Patterson
James Patterson grew up in Newburgh, New York, 50 miles north of New York City. Valedictorian of his class at the Christian Brothers school, St. Patrick's, in 1965, Patterson graduated from Manhattan College with a degree in English. He first entertained the idea of becoming a writer in 1971 when he worked as a college student in a mental institution, a job that afforded him abundant time to read. He came up with the idea for his first novel during that time, and five years later, after 26 rejection slips, his first effort, "The Thomas Berryman Number", appeared in bookstores. Since that time, Patterson has written numerous best-selling thrillers featuring the sensitive, modern-day hero Alex Cross, including "Kiss the Girls", which was made into a major motion picture starring Morgan Freeman.

Praise

"Patterson's strength lies in his ability to create frightening, cold-blooded villains. This is especially true in DON'T BLINK, which, among other things, has enough grisly, bloody and violent scenes to make anyone reading it swear off upscale steak houses, hotel rooms, gambling and Grand Central Terminal, among other places." - Joe Hartlaub 12/30/2010
