For most users, it's a great little monitor.
First off, the pros: It's a bright, sharp, vibrant little panel. Installation is a snap. The stand is cute, and it works just fine as a secondary monitor. Now, the con: If I'm running an OpenGL application on the main screen, and anything or nothing at all on this little monitor, the performance of both monitors goes all to hell. The machine will freeze intermittently then recover, sometimes every thirty seconds, sometimes every 2 minutes. When this happens, the desktop window manager process (under Windows 7 x64) reports 100% cpu use on a 4 core AMD Phenom II. Since I bought this screen to have a secondary monitor while running fullscreen OpenGL apps, this is a little dismaying. A recent update to the drivers improved the hitching and freezing behavior, but did not eliminate it. I hope this is addressed in a future driver update. If you are a casual user looking for a secondary monitor with no-fuss installation, this is a great product. Video plays smoothly on it, even at its 800x400 native resolution. It's a great panel to permanently dock widgets or a media player on. For those of you doing 3d modeling on your primary screen, you may want to skip this product until the performance improves.
