Works every bit as well as the Sony brand controller, including the 6-axis function, which I put to the test with COD3. It uses a USB dongle to connect instead of Bluetooth. It takes three AAA batteries, which can be an advantage, or disadvantage, depending on your point of view. I like it because I don't have to be within a few feet of my PS3 while waiting for a controller to recharge, I just pop in new batteries and I'm good to go. It's also just slightly bigger than the Sony, so it fits my hands better.
