| Tennis has been very good to agent Myron Bolitar, who represents two of the hottest young stars in the game. But when his female player is murdered in broad daylight at the U.S. Open and his male player becomes the prime suspect, Myron's got a whole new match to win. |
Annotation:
This intense mystery from award-winning crime writer Harlan Coban is the second book in the Myron Bolitar series. This time, it's the US open, and what starts out as an apparently isolated murder turns out to be more than what it seems, as Bolitar finds himself linking not only the two most notorious tennis-related murders of the season, but an unsolved mystery that's several years old.

Author Bio
Harlan Coben
Harlan Coben has been the recipient of Edgar, Shamus, and Anthony awards--the first writer ever to win all three of those major prizes for mystery writing. He is best known for his thrillers featuring Myron Bolitar, a sports and entertainment agent who is sometimes pressed into service as a detective by his clients. Like his main character, Coben was born and raised in Northern New Jersey. After graduating from Amherst College in 1984 with a degree in political science, he began working in a travel business founded by his grandfather. Coben wrote the first Bolitar novel, DEAL BREAKER, in 1995; his books have since made regular appearances on the bestseller lists, and his work has been translated into some 40 languages. TELL NO ONE, a stand-alone novel published in 2001, was later made into an award-winning French film whose main character is a pediatrician, as is Coben's wife. In 2011, Coben published SHELTER, the first in a new series featuring Mickey Bolitar, Myron's nephew, and which won yet another Edgar award--this time in the category of Best Young Adult Novel. Coben has said of his writing process, "I don't outline. I usually know the ending before I start. I know very little about what happens in between. It's like driving from New Jersey to California. I may go Route 80, I may go via the Straits of Magellan or stopover in Tokyo--but I'll end up in California."
