Awesome new album!!

by $haunda on 4/26/2006

Wow! I bought the new Rob Zombie album Educated Horses and I have listened to it countless times since it was released on 3/28. I am still listening to it, thinking "Wow"!! After hearing the whole album "The Death Of It All" is probably my favorite song. It has a very quite, creepy, and wicked beat, as well as great lyrics and perfect delivery! It gave me cold chills and I had to keep rewinding it and playing it over and over because it just grabbed me and wouldn't let go. I fell in love with the lyrics of this song, especially the line that goes, "I am the brain, Some say insane, Blood is the rain, That's what life's about." I don't know, but this will probably be the defining track from this album for me! At only 38 minutes 29 seconds, this album is somewhat short but very, very fulfilling and totally satisfying! This is a wicked album and it is completely listenable all the way through, over and over again; the sort of album in which there is no need for the fast forward button. Personally for me, I found this album much more satisfying than "The Sinister Urge" or the "House of 1000 Corpses" soundtrack. Everything on this album seems much fresher, I can definitely feel how Zombie has evolved as an artist, but at the same time I am not left wanting for what I have come to desire from him. This album totally lives up to all my expectations, actually exceeding them a bit, and that is major since Rob Zombie is my favorite artist, which places my standards for him far beyond those for anyone else!

Product Overview

Fresh off the major success of his latest feature film, The Devil's Rejects, Rob Zombie is returning this spring to his first passion - music - playing it live and loud. Zombie has finished recording his third solo studio CD, Educated Horses (Geffen Records).

Educated Horses was produced by Zombie and long time producer Scott Humphrey (Metallica, Motley Crue), who together also produced the platinum hits Hellbilly Deluxe and The Sinister Urge. Other musicians contributing to the CD are Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle, Vandals) and Tommy Lee. Zombie, a prolific video director in his own right having directed over twenty five videos, will direct the video for "Foxy Foxy" (the first single) Zombie will re-team with The Devil’s Rejects cinematographer Phil Parmet. Parmet has also worked on Led Zeppelin’s "The Song Remains The Same" and Frank Zappa’s "Baby Snakes".
