Editor's Note
The popular literary character Ellery Queen - a bestselling mystery writer moonlighting as a crack detective - originated in a series of novels co-written by Manfred Bennington Lee and Frederic Dannay, prior to several television incarnations, in 1950, 1958 and 1975. The last version (which lasted exactly one year on NBC) starred Jim Hutton as the title character, along with David Wayne as Inspector Richard Queen, Tom Reese as Sgt. Velie, John Hillerman as Simon Brimmer and Ken Swofford as Frank Flannigan. This box set features four classic episodes from the 1975-76 version: THE ADVENTURE OF AULD LANG SYNE, THE ADVENTURE OF THE LOVER'S LEAP, THE ADVENTURE OF THE HARDHEARTED HUCKSTER and THE ADVENTURE OF THE DISAPPEARING DAGGER.
