|A group of G.I.'s bet their best-looking buddy he can't get to first base with a cold-hearted cabaret dancer.|
Editor's NoteThe first film Elvis made after his stint in the army, G.I. BLUES tells the musical tale of Tulsa (Presley), a singing G.I stationed in West Germany who dreams of opening his own club when he gets out of the service. He has very little money, though, so he makes a large bet with fellow serviceman Dynamite--Tulsa must spend the night with beautiful and hard-to-get dancer, Lili (Juliet Prowse). Songs include, "Blue Suede Shoes," Shopping Around," and "Pocketful of Rainbows."
