Before there was ER, there was EMERGENCY!, an action-packed medical drama focused on the life-saving adventures of a Los Angeles paramedics squad. The program primarily followed two charming EMS workers--John Gage (Randolph Mantooth) and Roy DeSoto (Kevin Tighe)--as they traveled from case to case, interacting with patients, firemen, and the emergency room staff at Rampart General Hospital. Created by Jack Webb (DRAGNET), the 1970s program aimed for realism, and was one of the first to focus on the brand-new realm of paramedic assistance. This exciting season five collection includes 24 full episodes, and features guest appearances from Dick Van Patten and Ruth Buzzi.
