Author Bio
Terry Tempest Williams
Born a Mormon, Terry Tempest Williams grew up in Salt Lake City. Since the publication of her book REFUGE in 1991, she has been a prominent writer about the American West. Williams has been inducted into the Rachel Carson Honor Roll, received the National Wildlife Federation's Conservation Award for Special Achievement, been a Guggenheim fellow, and received a Lannan Literary Fellowship in Creative Nonfiction. She has also been naturalist-in-residence at the Utah Museum of Natural History.
