While not a horrible game, Enter the Matrix has enough flaws to keep it from being the incredible title it had the potential to be. As I started playing the game, the first thing I noticed was a lot of frustration with the camera. There's no controlling it unless you go into first person mode, which controls really bad. The game has the problem of feeling disjointed, saving every few steps it seems and not being able to really connect you to what is going on. The driving sequences had so much potential, but failed to live up to them through horrible control and a rushed feeling about the whole package. On a good note, the "focus" effects are well done and add some fun to the title, but that will be about all you'll really enjoy about this game. The fighting is pretty good, but the camera really doesn't allow you to enjoy it like you should. Frustrations mount even further when you reach the end and go "What?!" as you are then overwhelmed by the fact that you paid X-amount of dollars for ... an advertisement! Rent the game first, if you feel like buying it after that, then more power to ya :-)

Games that suck

by Rich on 6/19/2003

I didnt buy this game with high expectation.. and it looks like i came into this with the right mentality, this game is horrible, everything about it blows. The graphics are medicore at best with the exception of a few cool animantions, the sound is bad other than one or two decent songs from the film and the camera is one of the worst I've ever seen, it never seems to get the right angle when your fighting so the few decent moves that are in the game are almost always out of veiw. the focus effects in the game are great though, the only saving grace.. they slow down time so that you can see bullets pass by but its not too impressive concidering its been done better already in max payne (which by the way is a much better game). The only things i would concider worthy of a purchase in this game are the hours of exclusive in game cinemas recorded and directed by the directors of the film but they arent anything special.. however you do get a preview of Matrix: Revolations if you complet the game... rent this game, dont buy it. it blows worse than my mom Read More
