Eternal Road-Kurt Weill and the Jewish Response To Hitlers Germany

Editor's Note This documentary travels back in time to the dark days of Hitler's Third Reich, and examines how three brilliant European composers -Max Reinhardt, Kurt Weill and Meyer Weisgal - launched a musical revolt in response to the unspeakable evils and oppressions that faced them. They did so by creating the opera The Eternal Road, a monumental work designed to draw international attention to the plight of Jews, just prior to the Holocaust. This film chronicles the authorship and initial production of the work.
