ETHEREAL POWER PROTECTION 2160J
The ESP2012 features Ethereal's exclusive technology, which provides superior protection from power line spikes and surges that can destroy or shorten the life of attached components. The technology also incorporates advanced EMI/RFI filtration circuitry to eliminate performance-degrading noise on the AC power line for an unsurpassed home theater experience. The ESP20124 features three-line protection (L-N, L-G, N-G) with UL's best 330V rating. Coaxial line protection for cable TV, satellite TV or off-air antennas is standard on all models. Pay-per-view (telephone/modem) and Ethernet line protection is also available, depending on the model.
I have always just used the standard power strip and it generally works fine but I do worry about situation of power surge. Now I have something that will protect me from it and it looks great. It's also rather heavy which shows quality.
Nice features, great price2/6/2008
It is nice to know what kind power demand a device is actually drawing.
Protection I hope I never need1/28/2008
I bought this to protect my new HDTV and associated components. plenty of outlets for everything. I hope I never know if it works or not. If it fails, seems like a $100,000 insurance policy is quite adequate. Keep all your receipts because the protection is worthless without them!
Appears to work well.1/28/2008
Accurately advertised. The voltmeter is interesting but probably not anything one needs to have.
Sorry! It's better than I thought!!1/19/2008
The LED sticker I mentioned in my last review (I'm doing a second because I can't edit my first) is actually an LED showing the voltage !! Why Ethereal chose to cover it with a sticker that says, "120" is beyond me. Anyway, I peeled it off after noticing a fant glow under it, and low and behold, an LED readout of voltage! I now give it a 5. There is NO WAY you'll find a better outlet for even twice the price.
Not what I thought, but cheap nonetheless1/14/2008
See that nice looking red LED that says, "120" . That's a sticker!!!! Also, what is shown is a top view of the product, this is NOT a rack mount component like other high end power conditioners you see (which is what I thought it would be when looking at the picture). This would sit on your floor like any power strip. This is worth $30, but not the $99 suggested retail. It's build is solid and it does have switched and unswitched outlets. However, it does NOT have a 12v trigger (for example) to turn the switched outlets on and off from another component (say a receiver or per/pro). The power cord is HUGE and probably worth 5 or 6 bucks by itself. The cord comes off at a right angle from the plug, so it would be less likely to be accidentally pulled from the wall when bumped. A good power strip for $30, but be warned this is ALL you're getting. I gave it 4 stars based on it's value. (substracted 1 for being a little misleading)
Great price, Great quality1/12/2008
I am pleased with the quality of the surge protector. No problems at all and I would have expected to pay 3 times the price for the features included.
Great product at a super price!11/28/2007
