GREAT For Specialty Areas2/1/2011
I have Roombas but needed a vac for stairs and places the Roombas can't roam. WOW! The hand-held brush on this vac is the best I've ever used. The suction makes the brush on the hand-held unit rotate at high speed-no addt'l motor-and it works BETTER than units I've had that use an addt'l (i.e., loud) motor for the hand-held brush. My stairs have never looked so clean! I don't use this for regular vac jobs-my space is simply too big and the suction plate when the unit is put together is too small. I wish they would have made the hand-held configuration easier to handle. It was obviously an after-thought and you pretty much have to hang onto it while in use, but it's the most brilliant part of the machine as far as I'm concerned. Best stairs vac EVER.
This is the biggest pain in the ass piece of cleaning equipment I have ever bought. If the hand vac comes off, on purpose or not, it takes a rocket scientist to put it back together into the full vacuum mode. I have to get the instruction booklet out every time this happens and I'm not the worst mechanically inclined person in the world. I'm about to toss this piece of crap in the trash.
Need to be an Engineer to operate!12/19/2010
Not intuitive - too many things to dissemble/reassemble for floor or handvac modes. Could've been designed better for easier use. Good suction, though - no complaints there! However, hardly use the device, as I JUST DON'T have the patience to deal with it. So I went ahead and purchased an Electrolux Ergorapido for light vacuuming of my wooden floors 'n stairs.
Think twice before buying this product6/10/2010
This product is OK to buy if are using this one at smaller area.It is very tough to clean big areas since the bottom of the equipment is very small. It is not that easy to use also. Performance is also OK but not great. I don't recommend this product to buy
Great little guy6/3/2010
This is a great little vacuum. It was a little confusing to put together initially, but then I looked at the owners manual and things made a lot more sense. The instructions look like they were written by an american, it's a beautiful thing. The vacuum works great, I can have the canister full of dog and cat hair and it keeps sucking nice and strong. It's very light and very easy to use and maneuver. I love this vacuum
I went from a canister vacuum that wasn't that great to this one... and lets just say it's awesome. It's a little confusing to figure out at first, but once I looked at the owners manuals it all became very very easy to understand and figure out. It's surprisingly quiet and has a lot of suction. After just vacuuming off my cat tree and the dog's couch I can honestly say that it didn't lose any suction, even after the one filter became completey matted with hair. I'm going to use this mainly as a stick vacuum type of thing, I love it. the floor adapter guy is a little weird, but is highly effective. This is definitely a new take on how a vacuum works and what it should do, and I like it.
I like this Vacuum3/6/2010
I did a little research before I bought it. #1- the price was very good and I like the free shipping. For the a non mechanically inclined, I think this tool will bring you great frustration. For those that are not intimidated by the different- this is for you. -No bags needed, good reach for under furniture, I like the swivel action, the suction is great. I have mostly wood floors. It worked well on my low pile antique carpets too. (These carpets can not tolerate a beater). I assembled it right out of the box w/o directions. Good corner/ close to the wall coverage. Please note the main head is not very wide but, that's what creates the exceptional suction. Have not used the other hand held features... I feel pleased enough with it's performance as a regular vac. The other features will be a bonus.
