Author Bio
Louise L. Hay
Louise L. Hay is a metaphysical teacher and prolific author, best known for her YOU CAN HEAL YOUR LIFE. She began her career as a Science of Mind minister in 1981, and has since assisted thousands of people in discovering and using the full potential of their own creative powers for personal growth and self-healing through her books, tapes, and appearances. Hay's works have been translated into many different languages.

Louise Hay is one of the leading proponents of the self help, New Age, and holistic healing lifestyle. Hay parleyed her experiences as a church counselor and minister into a career as an author and motivational speaker. After first authoring a mini book called HEAL YOUR BODY in 1976, Hay wrote YOU CAN HEAL YOUR LIFE (1984), which then went on to become a well-read classic. This book of simple, upbeat affirmations, exercises, and wisdom suggested that a healthy state of mind (and positive thinking) could bring about profound physical and emotional healing. Hay teaches a multi-faceted approach to healthy living and personal exploration that includes meditation, relaxation, anger releasing, inner child work, and visualization||Hay has since authored many other books and other media dedicated to self-improvement and personal happiness. She has also become a frequently consulted expert in the field, lecturing with colleagues Deepak Chopra and Wayne Dyer. In addition to nurturing her own career as a writer, Hay also supported the efforts of others. In 1980 she started Hay House Publishing, which eventually went worldwide and her roster boasted many leading self improvement and life enhancement books.
