| EZQuest Phoenix Blu-ray Super Drive 6X Rewriter Upgrade Kit For Mac Pro/Power Mac is the new generation of Super drive upgrade kit that is pre configured and easy to install for Mac Pro and Power Mac. You can drag and drop your files, documents, spreadsheets, photos, songs, and movies to your Blu-ray Disc icon and burn them instantly up to 50GB on recordable or rewritable Blu-ray Discs directly from your Mac desktop in Mac OS 10.5.2 or later. Apple's "Disk Utility" also will let you to format the rewritable Blu-ray Disc so you can write to it again. The EZQuest Phoenix Blu-ray Super drive can store nine hours of HD movies, 23 hours of standard definition content or 72 CDs on a single disc. In addition to its massive storage capacity. The EZQuest Phoenix Blu-ray Super drive is also compatible with all DVD and CD recordable media including DVD+_R/RW + Dual/Double Layer, DVD-RAM, and CD-R and CD-RW. In addition, the EZQuest Phoenix Blu-ray Super drive will even read HD DVD-ROM discs as well as burn LightScribe (In Boot Camp) labels onto compatible DVD or CD media. The drive has a 4MB buffer for writing Blu-ray Disc and DVD media and has built-in Buffer Under-run protection. Play Back Blu-ray: Blu-Ray/HD-DVD playback is not supported in any Mac OS yet. You won't be able to play commercial discs unless you are using it with Boot Camp. Boot Camp is software included with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard that lets you run compatible versions of Microsoft Windows on an Intel-based Mac. Authoring Blu-ray: The fun part about having the EZQuest Phoenix Blu-ray Super drive inside your Mac Pro or Power Mac is to be able author professional-quality HD content into Blu-ray discs. EZQuest bundles the Phoenix Blu-ray Super drive 6X internal with Toast Titanium Pro. The optional Toast Titanium Pro with HD/BD Plug-in software also allows you to create Blu-ray movies and even has basic menu customization features. Blu-ray movies created using either software are playable on standard Blu-ray top boxes or PlayStation 3 game consoles. Toast Titanium Pro incorporates a special feature called Toast Dynamic Writing when use with a Blu-ray rewritable disc (BD-RE). Toast Dynamic Writing lets you use your Blu-ray Disc recorder like a giant hard disk drive-drag and drop directly onto the disc icon to add or remove files. Toast Titanium Pro also includes comprehensive backup software, which allows for manual, as well as scheduled backups to your EZQuest Phoenix Blu-ray 6X internal Super drive. |
