John Edward grew up on Long Island, New York. He graduated with a degree in Public Administration and Health Care, and had a career in the health field before achieving success as a writer and lecturer. His most biographical book is CROSSING OVER, a memoir in which he recalls how he became aware of his psychic gift and what he did with it. He speaks of his journey, his successes as psychic medium, and his experiences as a television personality.Though he exhibited uncanny abilities as a a youth, it was after encounters with psychic Lydia Clar that John developed his own abilities. Following many appearances on television talk shows, Edward had his own show on the SciFi channel called CROSSING OVER WITH JOHN EDWARD. He has worked with individuals, both rich and famous, as well as with law enforcement.
