As long as you aren't planning on doing continous shredding, like your old taxes and receipts in one session, this shredder is fine. Motor needs to cool frequently before you can resume shredding.
I have owned this shredder for over 6 years and it has been through a lot. It really doesn't shred as much per pass as advertised (what shredder really does?), but this thing has shredded over 200lbs of paper in it's lifetime, and the only reason it has quit working now is because I was shredding paper that got damp (our basement flooded) and this caused paper to get jammed in the motor's gears. I'm hoping to get it unjammmed, but if not, I would definitely buy this shredder again as a replacement.
pretty easy to set uo (put top on the basket) ans use. I had it for several days only, and used only to test its capabilities. It does not seem that it can handle more than 3 pages at once. I tried to shred receipts, and this machine had problems doing it (hence the 4 stars and not 5) - probably because of small size? Overall, if you remember tu use it as it is designed to be used - do not overwork, mostly in the house for occasional documents - it is great.
