Flawed work

by Michael N. Ryan on 2/18/2009

This book contains numerous factual flaws that actually appall me in their extent. The writers clearly have made numerous errors that any proof reader or historian can see. Techs of the American army of WWII are not a grade of NCO but a form of superior private like the Gefrieters of the German army. Tech seargeants are not techs, that position is a Tech Two. Places rank insignia of warrant officers on cuff when they are actually on the shoulder as with officers. Fails to give evidence for Russian use of women in front line units as soldiers other than one picture of a pair of snipers. Fails to give evidence for Russian sailors used as infantry. Some problems with the French. This one needs to really go back to the printers for major corrections work.
