Editor's NoteTwenty-one episodes of THE FLASH aired between 1990 and '91, and this release collects them all. Police scientist Barry Allen (John Wesley Shipp) is transformed into the Flash after his lab is struck by lightning. Once he awakes from the disaster, he discovers he can reach incredible speeds, and his colleague Christina (Amanda Pays) aids Allen in his subsequent quests to put his powers to a good use, while also designing the skintight suit he dons.

Customer Reviews of Flash-Complete Series
The Flash should have gone longer5/31/2014
When I heard about this series I had to get it being a fan of the DC Universe. The show was set in the early 90's so the effects were good for it's time. The show didn't follow everything in the comic book but it did a good job with what it used. The pilot episode was good and the series started kind of slow but it picked up midway through the series and had a darker feel than other superhero shows of the past. Mark Hamill really stole the show as the trickster and there were a lot of great guest appearances. I wish the show would have had more seasons so it could have grown but overall a good buy and a good way to get you ready for the new series on the CW.
A MUST OWN for any Flash fan7/7/2011
I remember watching this show as a kid before having read any Flash comic books and loving every minute of it. Sure, the dialog can be a little cheesy and the cinematography obviously comes from the 90s Lois & Clark, Star Trek, school of film but this series was all about adventure! John Wesley Shipp is a fantastic Barry Allen and the entire rogue gallery is right here. I'm definitely crossing my fingers for a Flash film in 2013 or 2014.
