I used to think my Garmin 1350 was good, until I got Apple products. Then I learned what a touch screen should work like. The 1350 you would need a pen tip to select items on the touch screen. It would not respect your finger. So, I got a 3790 and it is wonderful. Just like Apples touchscreen. You can rotate it and use it vertically! It came with a different base, but it fit the suction mount I had installed and used the same USB traffic received I had mounted in my headliner. I love it!
Bought this for my Dad especially so he could easily call home, family, friends by voice while driving. And, of course, it gives great directions and driving information. The last one he had was bought in 2008, and, of course, this is a huge update in terms of the turn lane directions, speed limit (with your speed in red if it exceeds the speed limit), tenth of a mile count down in terms of distance to go, and very on target time to go information. It is thin and light weight. First class
