Being famous isn't all it's cracked up to be.
| Bobby Bishop (Vincent Gallo) has it all--a top rated TV show and a playboy lifestyle--but he's totally falling apart. All the success in the world means nothing to him because he's lovesick. With an empty heart and the mounting pressure of doing a live talk show, Bobby loses control on national TV when he blurts out to his supermodel guest, "God, I want to f--k you!" In New York, Lily Charles (Courteney Cox), Bobby's ex-girlfriend, is astonished as she watches him unravel. She has tried to move on with her life and has a new boyfriend, but has been secretly following Bobby's skyrocketing career as she can't seem to forget him. Bobby realizes the only time he was truly happy was with Lily and heads to New York to find her while being chased by his obnoxious agent (Jeffrey Tambor). Catching her again won't be easy, her life is in complete disarray--her well-to do mother is "practicing" being homeless for fun; her crazy brother has been committed to a psychiatric ward and is plotting to kidnap a celebrity's dog; and her current boyfriend realizes that he has a penchant for wearing women's underwear and actually prefers men. In a series of comedic near misses, Bobby and Lily cross paths, but never meet until a fateful taxi ride brings them together. |

Editor's Note
Popular talk show host Bobby Bishop (Vincent Gallo, BUFFALO 66) appears to have it all. But after years as one of America's kings of late night television, he suddenly feels empty. After a meltdown during his live show, he leaves Los Angeles for New York in search of his ex-girlfriend, Lily (Courtney Cox)--the woman whom he never got over. Lily her own issues with the success that Bobby has obtained since breaking up with her, and her own circle of crazy friends and relatives will do anything she asks to keep Bobby away from her. A vibrant cast headlines this unusual indie comedy/romance.
