Product Overview

Presenting the big screen adventures of Gidget, the original queen of the Southern California beach scene. A winning combination of comedy, romance and song, The Complete Gidget Collection follows the summer vacations of America's favorite teenage surfer girl as she travels the world in search of fun, love and excitement. Bask in the California sun (Gidget) and then catch a wave that spans from Waikiki (Gidget Goes Hawaiian) to Rome (Gidget Goes To Rome). This DVD collection features Gidget and steady beau, Moondoggie, and their fun-in-the-sun adventures.

Gidget (1959)
Sandra Dee becomes a model for countless teenagers in the late 1950s when she played Gidget, a sad-faced youngster who didn't quite measure up to the chesty, bikinied girls on the beach. Her mom's reassurances come true when two surfers start paying Gidget some attention.

Gidget Goes To Rome (1963)
Gidget, in Rome for a holiday, misinterprets attention she receives from a famous journalist. Discovering he is "chaperoning" her at Dad's request, she resumes interest in her boyfriend. Based upon characters created by Frederick Kohner.

Gidget Goes Hawaiian (1961)
Gidget, on a Hawaiian vacation with her parents, finds a gang of lads vying for her affections, which starts a chain of romantic complications when her boyfriend from home arrives. Based on the Frederick Kohner characters, with songs "Wild About That Girl" and "Gidget Goes Hawaiian."
