	After winning an Oscar for Best Original Score for The Social Network, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross re-team for the soundtrack of David Fincher's American adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Reznor's and Ross' recorded score clocks in at over three hours, and is released in numerous configurations online and at retail, including as a $300 deluxe, signed, six-LP box set. Other than a strident cover of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song," the score is moody, often restrained, and in its way, as disturbing as the film.

Artist Overview

British composer/producer/programmer Atticus Ross has worked steadily since the mid-'90s, collaborating with Tim Simenon's Bomb the Bass and Barry Adamson as a programmer, and performing with his own band with wife Claudia Sarne, 12 Rounds. Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor eventually signed them to his label Nothing Records, which began a long collaboration between Ross and Reznor. The two collaborated on the score to David Fincher's The Social Network, which was released in late 2010 and ultimately won that year's Golden Globe and Academy Awards for best original score. Ross and Reznor reteamed on another Fincher film score, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, late in 2011. ~ Heather Phares
