WOW! What a ride!

by cabbey on 9/29/2004

From the first page to the last, an amazing journey and a fantastic story. I was fortunate enough to pick up both "Green Rider" and the sequel, "First Rider's Call" at the same time, so upon finishing the first I was able to dive directly into the second (though that is not required, as each is a self contained novel). Of all the books I've read this year (2004) these two are probably the most enjoyable. The only sad part of reading them was that the pages just flew by so fast, well, that and the painful mornings at work after staying up way past my bed time reading. ;) The characters all have enough depth to be real, the plot and subplots are engaging and sometimes (exquisitely) surprising, the dialog well written and comfortably timed, overall there is a very comfortable balance of prose and dialog. All in all a thoroughly fantastic read, one you can utterly sink yourself into very easily. Read More
