Plot Summary
The long-running battle between neighbors John and Max escalates when zesty widow Ariel moves into their wintery Minnesota community. While the grouchy old rivals verbally spar over the new arrival, Max's son Jacob pines for Melanie, John's daughter. The pair's pranks and insults hide a growing friendship for one another, even as Ariel teaches the quarrelling duo how to escape their snowbound existence and embrace change.
